I actually enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Getting to see more of Shu's family and expressions is nice. I loved the laughing moment and having Ryohei make Shu realize what he has in life.

I could go on about how I think they portrayed his family situation so well if I wanted. Like how they showed that he felt different from his sister and family bc he LOOKs different (hair, eyes, etc) from them and almost the loneliness he felt from others praising him as some sort of perfect person. The details and animation was soo good! I dont get why people are dropping it.

bro i cant get over the spice thing i love it... i always do that and people are like how do you taste the food? Half the time i dont its just textures and nutrients to add to the spicy flavors. Also gosh i saw some people saying last ep was their fav but this one is just so good. all my fav characters front and center.

This episode is so down to earth, I think it's a perfect expansion on Shu, and Ryohei's character growth. Really this season so far has really nailed the character growth for everyone. After re-watching the first season I feel that so far this second season has been really elevating the dimension of the characters and settings they've introduced.

I'm only slightly hesitant to say it's perfect because of how they introduced Eisuke, I mean he's cool so far but also feels like a generic enemy they felt the need to add for season 2. I hope they expand on Eisuke's character in a way that can tie him into lives of the other characters past well, considering he didn't get mentioned once in the first season.

So far Characters = 9/10, Story= 9/10, Setting =10/10, Animation = 10/10, Pacing = 10/10

Ryohei best boi!!! He reminds me of Makoto from free with his sweet and gentle personality .

ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE! I LOVE THE SYMBOLISM OF THOSE PAINTINGS, IT'S NOTICABLE WHEN SHU STARTS TALKING AND IT ZOOMED.

I know it's selfish thinking, but im not big fan of this growing friendship between Shuu and Ryohei - maybe because it makes minatoxshuu relationship less special. I mean it's nice that Shuu gets to be more open with others (and it seems that it bothered him - like twins treated him like some kind of god not classmate), but it's still kinda stiff to me when it comes to Ryohei. Hopefully Shuu wont start to get all friendly now, because it would be weird to me.

It's definitely peak selfish thinking. Don't try to limit his growth with your expectations.

Shuu's personality won't suddenly change to something else...though he might be more helpful when he feels like it.

You are right, but I'm just worried that to show his growth they will too sudden change him, which would be just weird. Like we don't have many episodes left , no time skip probably , so I prefer he will change only a bit, instead of sudden change

can't agree more with you, personally i like it way better when shu's getting closer to other ppl beside yamato, i really love this episode because i got to know shu and his family a lil bit more :)
